More than 90% of Madagascar's forest has been lost. At more than 43,500 hectares, Ranomafana National Park has some of the highest diversity of primates and land snails in the world. As in all Madagascar, bird species diversity is low. Ranomafana also contains a vast array of amazing frogs and reptiles. Most of the research in which we are involved contributes to the understanding of tropical rain forests througout the world and provides needed information on the endangered biodiversity of Madagascar.
