BBC Reporter Bruce Hopkins spoke to TEAM scientist Scott Brandes, from Conservation International who has a method of monitoring insects and frogs in the forest by measuring their calls. Professor Patricia Wright of Stonybrook University in New York, USA, a primate ecologist, thinks that this method of acoustic monitoring could be useful for identifying lemurs in Madagascar. Bruce also spoke to Professor Bruce Beehler, who is just back from Western Guinea where he and his team, also from Conservation International discovered a wealth of new animal species, including the once thought extinct Berlepsch's six-wired bird of paradise.
