TEAM at Supercomputing '08 ConferenceNovember 24, 2008 TEAM Network project was showcased by the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) at last week's Supercomputing '08 conference. The SC08 conference is the premier international conference on high performance computing (HPC), networking, storage and analysis. This year's SC08 attendees were nearly 10,000 scientists, researchers, software developers, network engineers, policy makers, corporate managers, CIOs and IT administrators from all over the world. Two TEAM SC08 presentations were given by Kate Ericson at the SDSC booth in the conference exhibition hall on November 18 and 19, 2008. Each presentation included an overview of the TEAM project using a Macromedia flash presentation and a series of live demos of TEAM tools. The applications demoed included data query and download, google earth visualizations, the carbon calculator, the terrestrial image viewer, and the myProjects collaboration area. TEAM was also featured prominently in SDSC's SC08 booth, which had an environmentally friendly theme. Images and audio from TEAM flash and keynote presentations were on looped play at the SDSC booth between sessions. Color copies of the TEAM brochure were also distributed at the SDSC booth. |
