The first camera-trap survey  sampling at Yasuni National Park ends successfully for year 2011. A joint research team from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador and Wageningen University are currently collaborating towards an initial scientific publication of the first survey results. The joint team is formed by graduate students Julia Salvador (Catholica University) and Yawannah Tjon-A-Ten (Wageningen University). Julia is currently awaiting news for her application to a graduate studies program in the U. S. with a leading camera-trap scientist. Yawannah finished her master thesis based on data gathered during this first survey. Both Yawannah and Julia are working together with their academic advisors in a scientific manuscript which is expected to be published during 2012.
