Unusual Events at the TEAM Site: 

Domestic dogs (Canis familiaris) were detected on one of our camera traps, These are likely to be hunting dogs owned by poachers.

New Species: 

No new species were recorded from the camera traps. No new species have so far been recorded from vegetation plots.

Protocol Activities: 

Vegetation protocol

Measurement error estimation for the diameter takers was conducted. A refresher training of all the crew was also conducted before re-measuring the plots. Three of the six vegetation plots have been re-measured and trees identified to species level. Herbarium specimens from all species in the plot were collected. New recruits were identified, tagged and mapped.

Camera traps:

Images from the camera traps were identified using the DeskTEAM software. Data DVDs were sent to Eric.

Climate monitoring protocol

Climate data for this quarter (with exception of December) has been uploaded onto the TEAM portal. Bi-weekly maintenance of the climate station has been carried out in accordance with the protocol. The maintenance log has also been uploaded onto the portal.

Protocol Problems: 

No problems encountered at site related to standard protocol implementation.

Schedule Problems: 

No deviations from from the proposed sampling schedule.

Logistical Problems: 

No logistical problems with TEAM implementation
