1.     Climate Monitoring Protocol

Climate data for July, August and September were downloaded and uploaded to the TEAM portal. The climate station was also maintained.

2.     Terrestrial Vertebrate (camera trap) Monitoring Protocol

From July 2nd to July 23rd, camera traps were picked up from array 1, memory cards changed and then deployed in array 2 (the remaining part of Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda and a part of Mgahinga Gorilla national Park in Uganda) until late Mid-August. Camera traps were removed from array 2 during late August and the whole September. Annotation of the images is going on.

3. Vegetation Monitoring Protocol

No vegetation protocol has been implemented during that period.

Protocol Problems:

One camera trap did not record images for 10 days. The reason is that the tree at which the camera trap was attached was hit by the elephant and fell down with the camera facing the ground.

No schedule problem was encountered.
