During the months of February and March, the Missouri Botanical Garden (MBG) organized the annual "Andean Amazonian Ecosystems course." The course was attended by eleven biology undergraduates in their senior year from six Peruvian universities and included theoretical and practical sessions. The theoretical sessions were based at the TEAM-Yanachaga site, and the field work took place in the San Matías-San Carlos Protected Forest and the Pampa Hermosa National Sanctuary.

The TEAM protocols were used as base for the field part of the course and the students had a chance to practice installation of permanent plots in accordance with the Vegetation Monitoring Protocol Manual Version 1.5.1. They also installaled camera traps following the instructions of Terrestrial Vertebrate (Camera Trap) Monitoring Protocol Implementation Manual Version 3.1.

At the beginning we had some difficulties accessing the image processor deskTEAM, due to a version of Java, so it was recommended that we work with the new processor Wild.ID_TEAM. We installed it in the month of January and we were able to start processing the images. Currently all the memories have been downloaded and we hope to finish processing the images as soon as possible.
